About Rachel Lader
Rachel Lader's Volunteer and Legal Intern Experience
Based on the north shore of Long Island, New York, Rachel Lader is an aspiring lawyer who has a deep interest in volunteering and supporting nonprofits. As a child, she donated all her bat mitzvah gifts to nonprofits, including the Willie Randolph Foundation, DeWayne Murcer Memorial Foundation, Best Buddies, and Realizing the Dream. Later, Rachel Lader volunteered with the latter two organizations, which are led by Eunice Kennedy Shriver and Martin King III, respectively.
At Realizing the Dream, Rachel Lader was appointed by the eldest living son of Martin Luther King Jr. to champion freedom and equality through her role as director of the Anti-Bias Task Force Youth Division in Nassau County. For Best Buddies, she assisted with marketing campaigns.
A member of the National Honor Society in high school, Rachel Lader holds a bachelor's degree in political science. In college, she received Dean’s List honors for two semesters and studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain, in spring 2016. After graduating, she attended New York Law School and received her Juris Doctor (JD) in May 2020. Complementing her legal education, she now works as an intern at Hach & Rose, LLP, in New York City, where she helps prepare cases for trial, as well as summons and complaints.
Prior to her internship at Hach & Rose, Ms. Lader completed legal internships under Presiding Justice Acosta of the First Judicial Department of the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court, Tangent-EHR, and Mallilo & Grossman. She enjoys following current events and politics in her free time, and previously volunteered for the mayoral campaign for former New York City Comptroller William Thompson. To that end, she served on the campaign’s Citizens Committee and organized a fundraising event on Long Island.Experience
